Visual intelligence for designers
Every image hides a rule. Build from the rule.
Morphogen Studio is a design intelligence system for architects, spatial designers, and worldbuilders. It reads the Design DNA inside a source image, translates it into an original concept, and locks that identity through every iteration, on any image model.
One photograph of a fig canopy became a city for 50,000: the ground left free, six rising spines, a porous shell carried on 1,800 branching feet. The tree is nowhere in the picture. Its rule is everywhere.
Generators give you images. They do not give you a design.
Roulette
Every prompt is a re-roll. A hundred beautiful strangers arrive, and none of them is yours. Direction accumulates in your head, never in the work.
Drift
Ask for a second angle and the building changes its mind. Materials wander, silhouettes melt, the palette shifts. There is no identity to hold, because none was ever defined.
Decoration
The source gets pasted onto a generic form. A rock photograph returns a rock-shaped building. That is imitation wearing the costume of inspiration.
Nine moves from seeing to a locked identity.
Morphogen is not a generator. It is the intelligence layer above the generators: forensic analysis first, design translation second, rendering last. The source is never imitated. Its generative rule is extracted and rebuilt in a new domain.
The DNA Card
Eleven forensic lenses read the image, from massing to the forces that made it. The result is 5 to 10 attributes, each with an ID, a class, and an influence weight you control. At least two must describe organization. "Rock-like" is never a principle. "Stacked thin plates sheared along a 55 degree dip" is.
Support divides and thins with height; enclosure is a thin porous shell at the periphery.
Cross-section is handed down at every fork, not added; count rises as size falls.
The two dials
Declared on every job. Translation Distance sets how far the design moves from the source. Scale Jump names both scales in real units and decides what each trait survives as. The difference between a facade with barnacles on it and a facade whose apertures cluster by the barnacles’ rule.
The DNA Lock
Approval freezes the identity: eight locks plus 3 to 7 signature features. Every later round is checked against them before a single credit is spent. MUTATE forks, nothing overwrites, and the genealogy stays visible from first photograph to final frame.
From one street tree to a city, without drawing a tree.
Mass gathers into a few bearing members at the ground; support divides and thins with height. The interior stays open; the whole structure is legible from below.
A conserved-section hierarchy: four member orders, cross-section handed down at every fork. Count rises as size falls; no member switches order.
Reach by tapered cantilever. Geometry bends, it never kinks; the eye reads the load from thick to thin.
A fine, even, non-periodic porosity produces open shade, never shadow. Light arrives as fragments, not beams.
“A shade tree read from inside became a city with the ground left free: one root at the water gathers everything heavy, six spines fan across an open commons and rise as they reach, and 50,000 people live in a thin porous shell lifted twelve metres on a forest of branching feet.” DESIGN THESIS · S03-C02 · genome.json v0.1
The tidepool kept its rule. The resort kept nothing else.

dark center → gathering mass
algal halo → concentric commons
scattered colonization → dwellings on the rim
S02-C01 Halo Cove. The pool’s organization, a dark center ringed by
concentric growth, became the plan of a coastal bath commons: one fractured monolith
holding the water, green-roofed rooms scattered along the outer ring, the rule
legible from the air and invisible from the beach. Aerial study, round v02,
one master prompt across four models.

The workflow becomes the interface.
Five panels, one genome. The studio method that produced the evidence above, rebuilt as software any designer can drive. In design now; the founding cohort shapes the first release.

The generation model is replaceable. The Design DNA is persistent. The workflow is the product.
Image models will keep changing; your design language should not. Every Morphogen
project is a portable genome file, genome.json: sources, DNA, concepts,
master prompts, locks, and the full decision lineage. It compiles to adapted prompts
for MidJourney, ChatGPT Image, Gemini, Higgsfield, and Runway, and it leaves with
you, never trapped in a vendor.
One vocabulary, studio to software · 14 commands
Built for designers who start from what they see.
Architects
Concept work with a defensible lineage: hospitality, cultural, residential. Walk a client from source to decision, line by line.
Landscape & urban designers
Terrain, settlement, and district logic extracted from geological and biological organization at any scale jump.
Worldbuilders & concept artists
D3 Remote translation: a leaf becomes a planet, and the planet stays consistent across every shot and sequence.
Interior & material designers
Surface behavior, not surface copying: porosity, weathering, translucency, and grain translated into credible systems.
Educators & studios
A teachable method with gates and scorecards. Analysis before form-making, graded on evidence instead of taste.
Anyone tired of roulette
If your references deserve better than becoming wallpaper, the method holds for products, brands, and stage worlds too.
Founding cohort, now forming.
The method is in daily studio use. The app is in design. Founders get both sides of that moment:
The Morphogen Method Pack, on release: the v2.3 system, 10 working templates, and two complete worked genomes. Run it inside the AI workspace you already use.
A beta seat when the app opens, with your founding price honored for life.
A voice in the first release. The module cut, the adapters, the scorecard: founders decide what ships first.

Explorer
One active genome. Forensics, DNA Card, master prompt, prompt-pack export.
Studio
Unlimited genomes and locks, every platform adapter, genome export, evolution history.
Practice
Five seats, a shared DNA library, client-facing boards, priority support.
Is Morphogen an image generator?
No. It is the layer above them: analysis, translation, the master prompt, and the lock. Renders come from the model you already use, driven better.
Which models does it drive?
Adapters at v2.3: MidJourney, ChatGPT Image, Gemini, Higgsfield, Runway. The adapter list grows. The genome does not care which engine renders it.
Who owns the work?
You do. Your sources stay yours, and the genome exports as a file you keep. Renders follow the license of the model that made them.
When can I use it?
The Method Pack ships to the founding cohort first, so you can run the system inside your current AI workspace while the app is built around the same genome format.
